Candidate Profile
Greetings, I am Akiya Sierra Piercy and I am running to be your next Miss Miles College. My platform is, Beyond The IMAGE. I = INFLUENCE the lives of students by listening, not judging and being available as a support system. M = MOTIVATE others to chase their dreams by creating a platform to help students plan for the future by providing the resources they need to succeed . A = ACKNOWLEDGE that mental health breaks are needed and to always strive for the greatness within you. G = GIVE BACK to fellow mileans. I created the Bears Corner Store to help with the grocery needs of every milean on campus to combat the rise in cost for goods. E = ENCOURAGE participation in student organization events to help every bear find a space to thrive. My personal philosophy is, remain humble and always strive for greatness.
