Anthony Edwards, a native of Marion, Alabama, is a proud alumnus of Miles College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2004. For the past 17 years, Anthony has dedicated his career to serving youth through the Greater Alabama Council, Boy Scout of America. Anthony has demonstrated his leadership and community engagement skills by developing a successful “Community Leadership Breakfast” campaign. This event serves as both a fundraiser and a public relation for Scouting in Western Jefferson County. As a team advisor for two significant events organized by the Greater Alabama Council, Anthony has forged a successful collaboration with Sloss Furnace National Historical Landmark. This partnership enriches the scouting experience by immersing youth in the historical significance of Sloss Furnace and engaging them in STEM and team-building activities. Additionally, he led the Scouting for Food Campaign, rallying Scout youth and volunteers to amass over 12,000 pounds of food for the Alabama Food Bank of Central Alabama. Recently, Anthony was promoted to District Director, where he will manage two districts. This new role allows him to further expand his impact in preparing youth to become responsible citizens and leaders. Anthony has been actively involved in various community organizations. He has served as the President of the Bessemer Rotary Club, an ambassador for the Bessemer Chamber of Commerce, and a member and Vision Partner at Faith Chapel Christian Center. At Faith Chapel, he serves as a volunteer for the Children’s Ministry and League Commissioner of the Youth Basketball League. Anthony is passionate about guiding and mentoring youth in the communities that he serves. He is also the creator of Inspirational Voices, where he creates content to uplift and inspire people on various social media platforms. Anthony has been happily married to his beautiful wife, Loriel Edwards, for sixteen years and they have three lovely daughters. Anthony enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, reading, and camping.
