Charles E. Stallworth was born March 24, 1984 in Opp, Alabama grew up in the neighboring city of Evergreen. Upon graduating with Honors from Hillcrest High School in 2002, Mr. Stallworth enrolled at Miles College and began his college career by pursuing a degree in Political Science and then changed his major to English in the Division of Humanities. Mr. Stallworth graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2006 and began his career in both marketing and corporate America from 2006-2007. He then taught 12 th grade English, coached track and field, and was the band director at McIntosh High School from 2007-2008 all at the age of 23 and taught English and coached track and field at Hillcrest High School in 2008-2009. Mr. Stallworth then enrolled at the University of Montevallo and earned his Master’s in English in December 2010. While in his last semester of graduate study, he embarked back into the corporate arena with Wells Fargo as a Residential and Commercial Underwriter. He then began his career in higher education at Miles College in August 2011 as an English Instructor at the age of 27 and has since progressed to hold titles such as: Assistant Professor of English and Literature, Director of the First Enrichment and Director of Second Year Enrichment programs within the Office of Strategic Initiatives, Coordinator for the Quality Enhancement Plan, Director of Alumni Affairs and Director of Annual Fund within the Office of Institutional Advancement. Mr. Stallworth was appointed to Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Miles College to begin the 2020 spring semester. Mr. Stallworth began his pursuits for his Executive PhD full-time at Jackson State University in July 2023. In his spare time, he loves enjoying his family, drafting house plans, working out at the gym, assisting with investments for his clientele, and being the best luminary he can be for younger generations.
