Description
Leon F. Parker, III is the Pastor of Unity Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Bessemer, Alabama. He is a 2012 graduate of Miles College and a 2015 graduate of Phillips School of Theology at the ITC in Atlanta, Georgia, where he received his Master of Divinity Degree. Currently, he is a candidate in the Doctoral of Education Program at Bradley University. Leon is an ordained Elder in full connection in the CME Church, serving for the last 15 years exceptionally in Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. He also serves on the board of One Church One School: A Community Partnership Program as national secretary and the connectional young adult ministry treasurer of the connectional church.
In August of 2021, Leon returned to Miles College, joining the ranks of world-class faculty and staff that cultivates students to seek knowledge that leads to intellectual and civic empowerment. Currently, he serves as the Vice-President of Student Life and Engagement, Dean of Chapel, and Assistant Professor of Religion. Leon is married to his best friend, Nathalie Nelson Parker, President of Civitas Consulting Group (www.parkerministries.com/consulting) founded by them both in 2018. They are the proud parents of Leon F. Parker, IV.
