For the past 20 years, Lydia Thornton has provided attention to detail and administrative excellence as a Health Care Administrator. She is an experienced Administrative Officer for the nations largest healthcare system, the Veterans Health Administrations Office of Analytics and Performance Integration. She is driven by the VA CORE VALUES: Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence. She takes pride in providing the best support possible. As an Administrative Officer, her goal is to continue to innovate each problem-solving process in administration. In addition to her primary job functions, Lydia has been recognized for her extraordinary commitment to the Action Based Leadership Program. While cultivating a harmonious and fastidious work environment over the years, Lydia was allowed opportunities to achieve academic development. 2011 she completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Management, followed by her Master of Science in Business Management at Faulkner University in 2013. In 2019, Lydia presented a final project related to HIV Prevention Awareness at the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Symposium in Chicago, IL placing in the top ten (10) of 50 projects receiving national recognition within her organization and with the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. In 2023, Lydia successfully completed her Doctor of Healthcare Administration degree at the Virginia University of Lynchburg. In her spare time, Lydia enjoys spending quality time with her family and attending regular services at Change Church.
