Sa’cha Johnson currently serves as an educator within the Jefferson County School District in Birmingham, Alabama. Before joining the Jefferson County School District, she worked for Birmingham City School District as a teacher, instructional coach, and as an ARI Local Reading Specialist. Through her leadership as an Instructional Coach and Reading Specialist, she increased teachers'; implementation of research-based instructional strategies for teaching reading that maximized student performance in reading while assisting the school’s leadership team to increase the school's overall reading proficiency rate.
Sa’cha’s greatest strengths include her motivation, drive, and leadership. She thrives on being an educator and leader who is committed to creating a culture of excellence, innovation, and success for all students. Sa’cha is a faithful and dedicated member of Rock City Church where she actively serves with the 12 Ministry Team as a Welcome Team Member. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and was initiated into the Eta Nu Chapter at Miles College in the spring of 2011. She has done volunteer work serving as a Mentor to youth, and as a Co-Advisor of a High-School Sorority Group while promoting etiquette, scholarship, and success.

Sa’cha holds an associate degree in child development education from Lawson State Community College, a bachelor's degree in child development education, and a bachelor's degree in early childhood education both from Miles College. Sa’cha was also recognized as the Class Salutatorian for the Miles College Class of 2011. She received her master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University and her master’s in Instructional Leadership from The University of West Alabama. Sa’cha is currently a Doctoral student at Samford University pursuing an Educational doctorate in Educational and Organizational Leadership.
Sa’cha lives in Pinson, Alabama, and is the daughter of Jocelyn Gatson. She is the mother of one heavenly angel Zahria, and to two supportive daughters Mikai’ya and Ja’Miya. Ja’Miya is a spring 2023 Miles College Honor Curriculum Graduate, while MiKai’ya serves as a Specialist in the U.S. Army. Sa’cha has one grandson that she loves and adores dearly. In her free time, she loves to shop, spend time with family, and travel.
