**Syeeda “Sy” Moore: A Champion for Civic Engagement and Social Justice** Syeeda “Sy” Moore, hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, is a passionate advocate for the disenfranchised, deeply rooted in the legacy of the civil rights movement. A graduate of Ensley High School, Sy pursued her higher education at Miles College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. During her time at Miles College, she was an active member of The Purple Marching Machine, the Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, and the Student Government Association. Sy began her professional journey at Easy Money, where she advanced through every position to become District Manager. During her tenure, she took pride in hiring fellow Mileans, fostering a community spirit within the company. Seeking new challenges, Sy relocated to Atlanta, GA and embarked on a successful banking career, quickly rising to become one of the top five business bankers in Georgia. Despite these achievements, she felt unfulfilled in her quest to build a meaningful legacy. In 2019, Sy made the bold decision to leave Corporate America, dedicating her time to self-reflection and brand building. By 2020, she had become more vocal about the political climate on social media, leveraging her platform to advocate for change. This period of activism led her to the nonprofit sector, where she became a program manager at a Georgia-based organization focused on civic engagement among black youth. Inspired by her work, Sy founded Street Angels, a civically focused canvassing team that has played pivotal roles in Senator Warnock’s winning campaign, various local campaigns, and numerous civic engagement initiatives across Georgia. In addition to her work with Street Angels, Sy serves as the lead affordable housing organizer for The New Georgia Project, working tirelessly to prevent Georgians from being displaced from their homes. Sy's dedication extends to her collaboration with the Democratic National Committee and the Harris for President Campaign, where she continues to champion social justice and civic engagement. Through her unwavering commitment and tireless efforts, Sy Moore has become a powerful force for positive change, inspiring others to join her in the fight for a more equitable society.
